Allah’s got a link roundup of stories related to the thwarted plot.
Pajamas Media has links to a few leftie blogs already downplaying this threat. Surprise surprise.
Less than two weeks later, with the posture of a man who holds the world’s most precious cargo in his hands, he promised we would “deal with this”. He did not make me max out my credit cards, neither did he make me wallow in the pain of asking him to take on a responsibility I wasn’t sure quite belonged to him. And it’s all because he loves me. Together, we will make the necessary adjustments, apply for the necessary help, and pay the necessary interest, but we will make it.
Maybe this all sounds melodramatic, but I can’t help being amazed at the beauty of God’s provision here. From abusive marriage to sacrificial love - the comparison is striking. I can only lift my eyes and thank my heavenly Father for the grace that made all these things possible.
The carrots were right there though. And later on, I gnawed on a couple to kill time before I wanted to and go and get a soda. The good news is there is nothing at home to eat that is not baby carrots, pea pods and Healthy Choice microwave dinners. Did you know that apple sauce gets furry even if it lives it’s entire lifespan in the refrigerator? Lou loves the goats.

I had planned to whittle my lunches down to mere Happy Meals, to further my “eating better” regime. I walked into my McDonald’s yesterday and the counter guy rang up my order before I had a chance to order. It’s was a nice bit of customer service, but it did not help my regime. I would have told the guy he jumped the gun but he seemed so pleased with himself for remembering my order that I couldn’t bring myself to take the wind out of his sails. The guy is a full time counter jockey, he has so few joys in life. If he can take pleasure from customer service, I’m not going to take that away from him.
Friends,
I have come to be in a situation that only a miracle can alleviate. I cannot elaborate on details here, but I would appreciate any and all prayers for this dilemma to be solved. It is very serious and feel much bigger than any possible human remedy. Thankfully, I do not have to rely solely on human solutions.
Just checking in to say hello - had a busy day at the 8-5 and am here at mom and dad’s tonight as mom and I are taking Muffie cat for her annual vet visit tomorrow. Should be fun! Not - poor little gal hates being in that pet taxi!
After that we’ve got a couple house projects we’re going to work on here, so my Saturday is pretty full. I’ll return to blogging Sunday - I am also going to try and liveblog the Dem debate that will take place Sunday night.
Mitt Romney on Hillary Clinton’s “shared prosperity” economic plan:
“Her view is the old, classic, European caricature that we describe of big government, big taxation, welfare state,” said the former Massachusetts governor.
“She gave a speech a couple of days ago and laid out her vision for America. And as I listened to her I figured her platform wouldn’t even get her elected in France,” Romney, who was a missionary in France, said to chuckles and applause.
