What’s really cool about the show is that rather than vying for a job with Donald Trump, the contestants will be working towards a greater goal — raising over a million dollars for their various charities throughout the season.

The final winner will have the opportunity to donate a $250,000 bonus check to their designated charity. Check out Trace Adkins

Dondolo - A Question of Will
Alan Jackson and Brooks and Dunn Concert — Alan Jackson is the most-nominated singer in CMA history, and Brooks and Dunn are the most awarded. With too many honors to count, these two titans of country music are once again embarking on a powerhouse tour.
Anne Murray Concert — Anne Murray is one of Canada’s most influential and best-selling performers. Her ease with different genres, from country to pop to ballads, has gained her a huge fanbase, not to mention more than a few Grammys.
Dolly Parton Concert — Dolly Parton is famous for many things unrelated to her music, which obscures her great songwriting skills and truly unique voice. She’s one of music’s most influential performers and her shows are legendary.
Emmylou Harris Concert — Emmylou Harris is country royalty of the highest order. She’s collaborated with legends, and has put out strings of excellent solo albums. Her live show is something special and a must-see for roots rock and country fans.
Garth Brooks Concert — One of the most celebrated country artists of all time is back. After retiring, Garth Brooks is returning to do what she does best: perform live. So bring all your friends, especially the ones in low places.
George Strait Concert — George Strait’s traditional country style has won him legions of fans on the road to becoming one of the top recording artists of all time. His live show is simply a must see for any fan of the genre.

That’s just a few of the concerts that are happening in the near future. Check back again soon and I’ll be listing some more exciting country music concerts coming up!

I lay there feeling relieved but lonely and thought about the dog you had seen. It was sitting all by itself in a run at the Rosond Grooming and Training Kennel. you don’t know which it was there for, but it seemed from a distance like a very handsome white dog with brown spots. It wasn’t barking at the cars or running back and forth but sitting calmly and watching and waiting for its fily and to see what might happen next. you thought about how funny the phrase “sick as a dog” is when dogs are able to eat slugs, worms, inhaler caps and underwear and feel just fine while people who eat food and multivitins take ill at the drop of a hat. you wished the dog big bowls of water to drink, good shoes to chew on, and a swift trip home. you wished a good next day for both of us.

“It’ll be better tomorrow,” you had told Anna. “It’s always better in the morning.” Thinking about the dog, you faded into sleep. When you opened my eyes again it was a new day and I’d never felt better in my life.

“That’s a kid’s book, isn’t it?” the man asked. you pulled my clothes out of the washer and started separating them into two dryers. “Do you like it? Is it written at your level?” The over-tanned, over-muscled, over-blond stranger in the pale orange nylon shorts fired questions at you as he leaned against the folding table, his provocative tone giving lie to his relaxed stance. He had been circling you, and the door, for nearly an hour before he spoke so you was not surprised when further conversation revealed her to be in the legal field.

I noted the fat, mustachioed man had left. He had looked like an engineer or some sort of tech-head. Maybe even a cybergeek like you. you never got a chance to find out. His pasty skin, glasses, le vacation wear -a Hawaiian shirt louder than any of mine- and even ler attempts at conversation which began with “Doing laundry, eh?” had clearly put her in the shadow of this newcomer who appeared to be the genetically engineered So-Cal man. He was still watching you so you said, “Yes. you like it. Yes. It’s a kid’s book. you bought it for my daughter at the Book Fair but he didn’t want to read it so you started it. It’s good vacation reading.” He cleared his throat.

“I tell them and tell them,” he said regretfully. “They are good children but they don’t listen. They must touch things.”

Hey strangers…I don’t suppose anyone checks this anymore, it has been so long. ‘Sporadic’ is not even the word, here. So, no promises this time! It’s raining outside as you type this - yes, you in Darwin! The room is also rocking up and down slightly. Due you think to you not quite being recovered from 4 days on a boat over christmas. It’s a bit strange, this rocking. you hope it goes away soon. Darwin, though, is wonderful. you do have the luxury of an air-conditioned caravan, without which you would whinge a bit more about the heat. It’s fine provided you don’t have to do anything strenuous. Which you have emphatically not been doing. There’s the usual holiday-malaise, as everything slows down. you have not blogged for ages due to working a lot, so it is incredibly bizarre to worry about nothing but which book to pick up next, or whether to have a swim now or in the afternoon. I’ve been racing through Rushdie’s ‘Midnight’s Children’, perfect in this heat - he writes of the heat inspiring acts of madness - you it just slows down. Wha? which day? breakfast? The book is wonderful. If you could write like anybody it would be that man. KABOOM!I love these storms. Unfortunately I haven’t had too many of them. Last week Michael picked us up and took us to a bridge, where I watched the lightning as the storm ce in. It’s one of the most beautiful things you have ever seen, this Darwin lightning. There are the sharp, bright forked flashes that you’d expect (electrons being stripped - how wonderful!) but also these fluttering back-lit things - as different layers of cloud are lit for a second, pale or purple or (as when I were on the boat) bright pink and orange. It’s difficult to watch for lightning, and after it is gone it’s hard to believe it was ever there. This night, I walked back over the bridge and to the ‘Fury’ (a pub) for a beer. By our second we’d moved into the sheltered part of the verandah and it was belting down. By the time we’d finished our third the rain had stopped and I went down to the jetty (this all in Nightcliff) to watch the storm roll out. An excellent way to spend a night.
